Me encanta dibujar cuerpos humanos, pero la gente te mira mal en la playa si se dan cuenta. En una ocasión dibujando en la playa de Masnou una chica me intentó pegar porque dibujaba a su novio!

Las cosas que no me hacen feliz

Hoy 23 de agosto he subido a las 12 del medio día al castillo de Samitier. Definitivamente encuentro absurdo hacer excursiones a treinta grados de temperatura donde la única recompensa es ver un paisaje. Absurdo es poco, lo encuentro hasta irresponsable, casi me desmayo por el camino, y cuando llegas a la cima no hay ni un bar, ni unas tapitas, y encima hay una niña de 10 años la mar de fresca correteando que me recuerda que los tiempos en los que andar por andar no me parecía una gilipollez.

Un paisaje

Este dibujo lo hice en una casa rural en El Poal, cerca de Mollerusa. Es una pena que no encuentro la página web, porque es una de las casas más bonitas de las que he disfrutado en mi vida. Tiene un jardín espectacular, aquí se puede ver un rinconcito bucólico.

La boda de Susana y Marco

Hace 6 meses que diseñé este vestido, y por fin, el día 1 de agosto, lo he podido estrenar! Susana y Marco se han casado, una boda llena de glamour para la que había que llevar algo muy especial. Mi madre me cosió este estupendo vestido, hecho con tela que compré en Sri Lanka cuando fuimos a nuestro viaje de novios.  Gracias mama!

Por cierto, el sabado era mi cumple…pero con el esplendor de la boda la cosa me pasó desapercibida.

Pese a que nunca cuelgo fotos, en esta ocasión voy a hacer un homenaje especial a Susana y a mi madre por su destreza!

Shoes

Hace unas semanas fuimos a Mollerusa con nuestros amigos y sus hijos. Intentando hacer algo creativo les propuse a las niñas que posaran para mi, y como no se paraban de mover, esto es lo único que pude dibujar!

The zoo

Last weekend we went with my sister and brother in law and their daughter to the zoo. I was trying to make some sketches but they where in a hurry, and didn’t give me the time to make a good one from the rhino! so I will go back soon with Irene to spend all the day long to draw all the animals of the park.

My tools

This was my old sketch pack. Some days ago I bought some new colours and I built myself another box, a little bit bigger and now I’m using 16 watercolors, but in fact, I really only use 6 or 7,  so my drawings don’t look as beautiful as I would like, but I don’t know how or when to use Green Windsor!

Para los que no hablan inglés, me he cambiado de caja de colores, y ahora uso muchos más, a ver si mejoro!

Waiting for…

During the last months I have been visiting quite often hospitals, here are some examples. Sad places…I was always the younger patient!!!

I’m still having some problems with the scanner, the bright colors look too clear. Let’s see if I can find an easy solution.

Small things that make me happy

I bought these mugs in Poland, and I don’t know why, to see them give me energy an positive thinking. They are made in the artesanal ancient way, and the porcelain is just a pleasure. I have done two drawings, inside the cups there were some mandarins and fruits.

Wild Flower

If I have decided to create this blog, it was probably because I got so impressed the first time I visit the sketches of Trumpevine Travels. It captivated me! It is difficult to explain it but, since then, I visit constantly this blog that has shown to me also a lot of other incredible artists. My favourite at the moment is Nina Johansson, she has an incredible style, just perfect to learn from her. Some times I just copy her draws to practice, and maybe one day I would be able to control the technique as good as she does. Probably I need first to control a bit my temper, my way of drawing is much more emotional, and I’m not a professional, so no problem to let my heart flow. I draw to feel the moment, the place, the object or the person that I want to sketch. It is a zen felling. You have to be the sky to draw the sky, and this exercise is not possible to be done so easily, at least for me.

In any case, I would like to extend my network of artists in order to learn of them and to share experiences, so English has to be the language to use. I’m no very used to write in English, so sorry for the mistakes.

This small aquarelle makes me thing in Austria. When I visited that marvellous country I could see thousands of these flowers in the beautiful valleys and hills. I can’t remember the name in german!
